In accordance with the principle of integrity, we sought BEE partners whose values aligned with our own and who had no industry agenda that could possibly influence our advice.
In South Africa, we found such a partnership in Koketso Holdings, an empowerment investment company owned by the Tambo Family Trust, which holds a 26% share in our business through its operational company, Koketso Growth (Pty) Ltd.
In recognition of the importance of the Namibian market to our group, we felt that it was appropriate to include a Namibian empowerment partner as a shareholder at a group level and this objective was met by Madawa Investments. This organisation represents the interests of a number of prominent Namibian business people and it holds a 10% share in our business.
