Sydney Mashiloane
Divisional HeadSydney holds a National Diploma and B. Tech degree in Public Administration as well as a Masters Diploma in Human Resource Management. After passing matric, he began his working career at Sasol 3 (Pty) Ltd as a Process Operator in 1981, where he remained until 1985. He joined the Public Service (the former Gazankulu Government) that same year as an Administration Clerk and progressed through the ranks in the Public Service until becoming Director: Human Resource Management in the Presidency. In this role, Sydney was responsible for the entire spectrum of human resources, commencing from recruitment through to termination of services. He resigned from this position in February 2009. Sydney played a key role in the merging of the former organizational structures of the offices of the President and Deputy President, leading to the migration of employees from both offices culminating in the establishment of the new Presidency. He served as the Chairperson of the National Department’s Job Evaluation Forum and Chairperson of The Presidency Departmental Bargaining Council, as well as Chief Negotiator for The Presidency in the Bargaining Council. Sydney joined Jacques Malan Consultants and Actuaries (RSA) (Pty) Ltd in March 2009 as Divisional Head of our Human Capital Management Division.
