The H1N1 pandemic is becoming a serious issue which is likely to affect South African employers and businesses. Our JMCA Healthcare department is following developments and we will keep you updated shoud there be any news which may be relevant to your business.
The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) has compiled a revised workers’ handbook [PDF, 550KB] which aims to assist employers and HR personnel with dealing with infections which may affect their business. The Department of Health has also released a number of communications, including a useful poster [PDF, 115KB] which can assist with communicating precautions needed in the workplace.
