Jacques Malan Consultants & Actuaries (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd Nangula Mbako Nangula Mbako obtained a Diploma in Development Studies and Management in 1986 at the United Nations Institute for Namibia in Lusaka, Zambia. She continued her Legal education at the University of Zimbabwe and successfully obtained a Bachelor of Law Honours Degree in 1990 and an LLB Degree from the same University in 1991. She was admitted in 1994 as an Advocate of the High Court of Namibia and worked as a Deputy Director of Financial Institutions Supervision in the Ministry of Finance from 1992-1996 and as an Under Secretary in the Office of the Attorney General from 1996 to March 2000. She has been Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources since April 2000. Having spent 30 years in exile, Dali Tambo acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs and Political Science at the University of Paris. He worked in film and television in the United Kingdom, on productions such as Richard Attenborough’s Cry Freedom. Upon his return to South Africa in 1990, Dali launched Southern Stream Productions, with his first talk show on M-Net, called Night Moves, revolutionising the genre. He then moved to the SABC, with his highly successful People of the South, which aired for an uninterrupted 8.5 years. Since then Dali has been focussing on business opportunities, specifically in Information Technology Communications (ICT) and Resources, through his company, Koketso Holdings. Through his wide network base and through entering into strategic relationships, Dali has managed to secure a number of gold and diamond mining concessions in a number of African countries, specifically Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Sierra Leone.
Mandla Langa
Mandla Langa is the chairman of the Independent Communications Authority of SA and was the chairman of the Independent Broadcasting Authority. As chairman, Langa has the task of balancing the needs of consumers with those of the industry in SA’s high-stakes telecommunications and broadcasting industries. He was the convener of the task group of government communications and a former columnist of the Sunday Independent. He has been the editor-at-large of Leadership and a programme director for television at the SABC. He was a former board member of the SABC, sits on the boards of Business and Arts SA, the Foundation for Global Dialogue, the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism and the Rhodes University School for Economic Journalism.
Johann Pieterse
Johann Pieterse is a qualified Chartered Accountant. His previous positions include Managing Director of Teljoy and Vodacom and Financial Director of Pepkor. Johann is also a member of our our Audit Committee.
Ernest Harvey
Ernest Harvey is a Human Resources specialist and was previously Human Resources and Group Strategy Director of MoreGro Ltd. Ernest manages our Human Resources Committee.
Daniel Malan
Daniel Malan is Chief Investment Officer at RE:CM. He started his career at SMK Securities as a trader and retail equity advisor. In 1998 he joined Brockhouse Cooper in Montreal, Canada as a global institutional trader. Subsequently he joined Investec Asset Management in London and later in Cape Town. Daniel is a CFA charterholder, holds an IMRO Investment Management Certificate and has passed the Canadian Securities Course Examination.
Sakeus Shanghala
Sakeus Shanghala obtained his B.Iuris and LL.B degrees from the University of Namibia (UNAM) in 1998 and 2000 respectively and qualified for admission as a legal practitioner in Namibia. He has worked previously for the Centre of Applied Social Studies (CASS) of the Law Faculty of the University of Namibia, the Namibia Non-Governmental Organizational Forum (NANGOF) and for the first Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, Dr. Hage G. Geingob, as Chief of Staff. Sakeus is currently employed by the Ministry of Justice in the Attorney-General’s Chambers as an Advisor to the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General. Other directorships include Hanganeni Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, Ububele Holdings Namibia (Pty) Ltd, Ububele Alpine (Pty) Ltd, Oliver’s Investments (Pty) Ltd, Madawa Investments (Pty) Ltd and Olea Investments 19 (Pty) Ltd. By presidential appointment, Sakeus has served on the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the activities, affairs, management and operation of the Roads Authority, and the Road Fund Administration, and currently serves as Deputy Chairperson of the Magistrate's Commission.
Kim Hulett
Alternate Director Kim Hulett has a degree in Computer Science (Rhodes University) and qualified as a Chartered Accountant after completing her articles with PriceWaterhouse Coopers in Johannesburg.
In 1995, Kim joined Hambros Bank Plc in London and, in 1997, Capital Alliance as Head of Group Business Development. In 1998, she founded Limitless Corporate Finance, responsible for the establishment of the South African Rugby Players Association (SARPA), the structuring, negotiating and funding of management and the minority shareholders stake in eTV, and the set-up and listing on the JSE of South Africa’s first on-line stockbroker, U-Trade Limited (now owned by Appleton).
Through Limitless, Kim also acts as financial adviser to the Tambo Family Trust and Koketso.
